Five students last night at Westfield Creative Arts with one brand new! Carol finished her Manet flower painting and did very well. Alexandra finished her Monet Landscape and also had a great painting. Scott worked on the same painting as Alexandra and Gloria started an Hawaiian Sunset Seascape (my interpreation below). Danielle the new student started a local landscape (Mill in the Meadow scene from Granville). Photo and my oil painting below.
I used brushes and painting knives on this oil painting. It is entitled "Crane Pond Waterfall" and my perspective is viewing the falls through the overgrowth of trees and brush on the shore. It was very difficult to get an unobstructed view because of the trees and the deep ledge to the water. I used the knives on the leaves in the foreground.

I have 14 paintings on display and for sale at Mama Cakes on Elm Street in downtown Westfield, MA. Included are two acrylic paintings, one watercolor and the rest oil paintings. Also, I have a large rack of loose matted original watercolor paintings. They will be there for the rest of the month and three weeks into February. Stop by to check them out and have a coffee and delicious cupcake!
