I had four of my regular students last night at Westfield Creative Arts, all working on their own different painting. Gloria finished her Renoir Floral below and she did a great job. Alexandra worked on the same image and also her Monet Waterlilies. Both should be finished soon. Scott started a still life with apples and a jar and Carol worked on her pineapple still life. All enjoyed the session and did fantastic!
I used brushes and painting knives on this oil painting. It is entitled "Crane Pond Waterfall" and my perspective is viewing the falls through the overgrowth of trees and brush on the shore. It was very difficult to get an unobstructed view because of the trees and the deep ledge to the water. I used the knives on the leaves in the foreground.

I have 14 paintings on display and for sale at Mama Cakes on Elm Street in downtown Westfield, MA. Included are two acrylic paintings, one watercolor and the rest oil paintings. Also, I have a large rack of loose matted original watercolor paintings. They will be there for the rest of the month and three weeks into February. Stop by to check them out and have a coffee and delicious cupcake!
