For both my acrylic painting workshops this past weekend we used my photo from Keenebunkport, Maine sea coast as a reference for our lessons. Three students at the Hadley Michaels and two from the West Springfield Michaels love the picture and did great on their paintings! One was a mother Gwen who regularly brought her teenage daughter Grace and decided to give it a try herself. Also, an 83 year old lady Nancy who hasn't painted in 3 years wanted very much to do a seascape. She thoroughly enjoyed it!
I received the painting below as a gift years ago and just got an appraisal from an online art appraisal company. It is a large pastel painting of a lighthouse and is dated 1976. The artist was Nathan Kredenser and the light house is Ned Point Light in Mattapoisett, MA. Value is only $200-$300 because he was a relatively unlisted artist who specialized in murals.
