Last night at Westfield Creative Arts I had six students at my Acrylic Painting Class with one brand new gentleman Jack who hadn't painted in five years. He finished an autumn scene with a barn in the two hours and did great! Also, Carol started a boat in harbor scene and Scott finished his roses in glass vase painting (from Edouard Manet). Three from the Carson Center were attending and painted their own paintings. Below are the photo references that they used for their paintings. The boat photo is my oil painting. All said that they had a great time!
Fresh off the easel this weekend! "Honey Pot Road Autumn", oil on canvas panel, 16" x 20", I painted this from my own photos in my studio in the same style as my plein air painting but on a larger size canvas. I will paint more paintings in this larger format.

I have 14 paintings on display and for sale at Mama Cakes on Elm Street in downtown Westfield, MA. Included are two acrylic paintings, one watercolor and the rest oil paintings. Also, I have a large rack of loose matted original watercolor paintings. They will be there for the rest of the month and three weeks into February. Stop by to check them out and have a coffee and delicious cupcake!
