I painted the Amelia Park Water Fountain plein air Wednesday afternoon just before they turned off the water for the season. Had a great time! The small Crane Pond painting was painted in my studio from my photo.

Last night at my Michaels Acrylic Painting Workshop in Hadley, MA two of my students used this Hawaiian sunset seascape photo as a source for their painting. Evelyn and Gwen both did their interpretations of this scene with a great job. Katherine did a Hawaiian Waterfall painting and Grace started a Maine seascape with rocks. Great painting night!

Had a great class last Tuesday at Westfield Creative Arts in the Rinnova Building in Westfield. Toni was a brand new student who wants to get back into painting after many years away from it. He started a Hawaiian Beach scene and I see talent in him. Phyllis started a New England Autumn landscape using her own photo and progressed nicely with it. Photos are a couple of my watercolor paintings of Hawaiian Beach scenes.

Last Friday at my Acrylic Painting Workshop at the Hadley Michaels my three students selected the Arcadia, Maine photo of a lake with mountains as their source photo for the landscape lesson. Gwendolyn, Grace her daughter and Susan a repeat student did very well! On Sunday at my acrylic painting workshop at my West Springfield Michaels five of my students selected this Vermont Barn winter scene as their lesson. I gave them a choice of five different photos to choose from. The Romero family, father Alex, mother Laurie and daughter Lexi all did great!! Repeat students Maureen and Karin also did very well. All had a fun time painting the barn!! It's hard to finish in the two hour session but each can take home the photo to finish at home. All are progressing in their painting skills and having a fun time!
I just got an online art appraisal of this oil painting that was found by the side of the road in Westfield by my sister who gave it to me. Things people throw away! It is by Cape Cod artist Marilyn Schofield dated 89 or 80. It looks like a Cape Cod winter shore scene. It’s appraisal comes in as $200-$400. My wife Jean loved the painting and we framed it!
