Last night at my Westfield Creative Arts Acrylic Painting Class there were three of my regular students. Kathy painted a small painting of a Cape Cod Turo landscape with an impressionistic sky and sea. She did great! Scott finished his Winter Brook landscape and Phyllis continued on with her realistic Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard Street scape. Great time!!
I received the painting below as a gift years ago and just got an appraisal from an online art appraisal company. It is a large pastel painting of a lighthouse and is dated 1976. The artist was Nathan Kredenser and the light house is Ned Point Light in Mattapoisett, MA. Value is only $200-$300 because he was a relatively unlisted artist who specialized in murals.
