Last night at my Westfield Creative Arts Acrylic Painting Class my three regular students worked on their paintings. Kathy finished a small Cape Cod Turo impressionistic landscape. Scott finished his Winter Brook snowscape and Phyllis continued working on her realistic Edgartown street scape. All had a great time! Classes are ongoing and anyone can sign up for four two hour classes for only $80 total. Simply go to www.westfieldcreativearts.com for info and to register!
I used brushes and painting knives on this oil painting. It is entitled "Crane Pond Waterfall" and my perspective is viewing the falls through the overgrowth of trees and brush on the shore. It was very difficult to get an unobstructed view because of the trees and the deep ledge to the water. I used the knives on the leaves in the foreground.

I have 14 paintings on display and for sale at Mama Cakes on Elm Street in downtown Westfield, MA. Included are two acrylic paintings, one watercolor and the rest oil paintings. Also, I have a large rack of loose matted original watercolor paintings. They will be there for the rest of the month and three weeks into February. Stop by to check them out and have a coffee and delicious cupcake!
