Last night at my Beginner's Acrylic Painting class at Westfield Creative Arts in the Rinnova building in Westfield there were five students. We used my oil painting below of a Maine lighthouse as a source material. In the two hour class most of them couldn't finish but will work on their paintings at home or bring it in for their next class. All did great! Check out www.westfieldcreativearts.com to see the information and register for my painting classes.

My painting demo from the Wilbraham Art League meeting last Tuesday. I was demonstrating my plein air techniques for the group of around 25 in attendance. I answered their questions while I demonstrated. A great group of artists! They all said that they enjoyed it. I still have to fine tune the painting. From my photo of Grandmother's Garden that I took a few years ago!

Monday night there were fours students at my Beginner's Acrylic Painting Class at the Westfield Creative Arts. We used my watercolor painting below as a reference source. All four finished their paintings in the two hours and did a great job although I told them that we could continue on with the painting next week. A Hawaiian seascape sunset! This Saturday there will be plein air painting at the Westfield River Bridge from 2 to 4pm with acrylics!! We will meet at the Rinnova Gallery at 1:45pm to organize. Still time to register at www.WestfieldCreativeArts.com. A sunny day is the forecast and a great time painting!! For beginners and all levels!
I had a great time painting in my basement studio this 12" x 16" oil painting on a canvas panel. I used my own photos that I had taken of a local scene. I had to climb down an embankment under a bridge to get this view!
